Girl Scouts offers so many opportunities for girls as they grow up. Some people are under the impression that they are only selling cookies, or only learning traditional “homemaker” skills. How wrong they are!
Girl Scouts teaches girls to take charge. It is a Girl-led organization, which means that the girls choose what they want to learn and how to make it happen.
In our troop, the girls work hard to learn a variety of skills. Recently, they completed the Think Like a Programmer badge. They used LEGOs, paper, graphs, and other common items to learn how to program! It was really exciting for them.
This video is our girls’ opportunity to teach others that programming doesn’t have to be hard!
