It does so inside!!
Wait, what? Let’s rewind.
So, my dryer broke. Inside the dryer are those 3 sticky-outy things (I have since learned the official term is “baffle”, but I prefer my name for them). One broke off completely, except for the 2 screws holding it in place. Another broke 1/4 of the way off. So we had to order the parts. They would arrive in 3 days, huzzah!
A week later, they finally arrived. Time to fix the dryer, yay!
Except the dryer is so new it took 3 days of research to find out how to take it apart properly to install these parts. But they got fixed hurray!
And then we noticed the wet blankets on the floor of the laundry room. I figured a dog got in there and peed on them. Whatever, I’ll just rinse them off in this convenient sink we have in the laundry room.
Oh. That’s where the water came from….

Ok, I’ll call RotoRooter in the morning. But hey, the dryer is fixed!
~The Next Day~
Start the day off as usual, shower, change, coffee, etc. Head downstairs. I’ve got to make a call! What’s this? Why is our speaker in the office crying?

That can’t be good. Desk, computers, lots of electronics, all getting rained on indoors. This is nowhere near the laundry room sink!!!
And so we investigate….

Turns out, our shower (which is conveniently directly above the office) was leaking. Bad. Good thing I already had to call a plumber!
To make a long story short, it’s all repaired now. Or at least, not raining indoors anymore. We had to rip out the entire ceiling in the office.

I’m learning how to hang drywall on the fly, and we’re adding a light and ceiling fan to the room (because for whatever reason, there were no lights).

In all, nobody got electrocuted, nothing was destroyed or fried, and we are learning new skills.
In medical news, LE got new glasses! She’s super cute. She has irregular astigmatism and she picked out her frames. She even wears them without too much of a fight!

She’s also starting Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physical Therapy (PT) back up. I’ll have more updates on that as time passes.
Finally, some more exciting news: I’m a Tiny Superhero Ambassador!
Tiny Superheroes (TSH) is an amazing organization that celebrates the Special Needs Superheroes and Sidekicks in our lives. They provide capes (free of charge!) to them, and every month they provide missions for the kidlets to complete and earn a badge to put on their cape (also free).
TSH Ambassadors are the moms of these great kidlets. We also get monthly missions and badges, and get together for journaling, anxiety workshops, and more. It’s a great chance to get together with other moms and build each other up, as well as lean on each other. If you’re interested, you can check it out here.
I hope y’all are doing well! Life is crazy here, as always, but we keep on going!
You are awesome! The way you handle whatever comes your way is inspiring. Her glasses (and her smile) are adorable!
Is it strange that I really thought after picture of you on ladder there would be one of you with a broken something!? You definitely live a challenging life, only you could handle it!

You certainly don’t lead a dull life! Hanging drywall is a bitch. Better you than me!!

Love the TSH Ambassador deal! That is so awesome for you and the kids!!
Love you all!!!
